Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June.
June is here and it seems we are still being held hostage by this Covid stuff. We are trying to arrange something this month within the restrictions and have planned get together on Saturday, June 13th at the Delta Blues Winery, courtesy of Jerry Michie. (Note this is a change in date since the original Punchbowl). It’s a large enough venue to allow for proper social distancing and if the rules change like we are hoping, we will have live music as well. As I write this, we are still restricted to a 50 person group and we have commitments of 43 to date for this event. Just a reminder that if things don’t change we may have to limit attendance at the first 50 responses. Keep a watch out for possible updates via our Ennead email blasts. As we are under phase 2 of the covid directives, we now can have gatherings up to 50 and 50% of restaurants occupancy limits, but soon if things go well our government leaders may allow us to move to phase 3. As I understand this will provide things like restaurants to have up to 75% of occupancy limits and gatherings of groups larger than 50 if space allows for social distancing. . I cannot wait until we can safely resume our small groups and who knows even a maybe plans for a larger get together soon. Come on vaccine!
