2019 May and June Newsletter

Chairman’s Comments:

Ennead’s royal court has done an excellent job this year representing us. We’ve had a lot of fun & brought home several awards. Although membership was down it didn’t keep our spirits down.

Carnival week was a blast getting to see the charities which we raise money and support. If you aren’t involved in any activities, we encourage you to come out & get involved.

Entertainment Committee Update

Royalty/Other Events – Krewe’s for Kids was well attended and supported by Ennead with lots of fund raising going to Carnival’s three charities. Phoenix Karaoke was a blast as usual, and our very own King Steve Grushkin won for Most Fun and Entertaining

The month of April recap – The month began with Marty Alberg hosting Rummikub.  Happy Hour was well attended at Local Gastro Pub in Midtown. The book club was hosted at Anne Manning’s home and the book discussed was The Durrell’s on Corfu.   The Dinner Group had a lovely time at Southern Social. The wine party as usual was our biggest event during the month  The event was hosted at the home of Paola High. Lastly lady’s night had a great group attend at Owen Brennan’s.

Karen Mora hosted the wine party and fun was had by all.

The Royal Court of Ennead has had a Great Year representing our Krewe. We were just informed at the Phoenix Clubroom that we Placed 2nd overall for the Phoenix Games, 2nd Place for decorations and First Place for the Kings Award. Ennead also took home two trophies from Karaoke.  Ennead was also represented well at The Crown and Scepter Ball. Carnival Memphis presented a check to the three Charities for $ 400,000.
