March 2018 Edition

What a fabulous Super Bowl Sunday! With eleven entries in the Chili Cookoff, there were crock pots on every horizontal surface in Karen Mora’s home. The tasting/judging was serious business…and the winner was Vickie Carwell! Carol McCourt came in second and John Flanigan was third. The game was pretty good too!
February has been busy with Coronations, and Ennead has been well represented by Queen Jean, King David, and the Royal Court as well as other members supporting Carnival as we celebrated with RaMet, Sphinx, and Luxor. March brings many more activities including the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and preparation for our Black Tie and Tennis Shoes Skit. Casting call for BTTS is Saturday, March 3 and we need everyone involved – come join in the camaraderie and general merrymaking!
Thanks to Janet Dodson for arranging the February Happy Hour at the Forest Hill Grill. There were 20 of us enjoying libations, good food, and good company. The Go-Cart group met for the second time, and more thrill seekers are always welcome. Mary Elmore hosted Rummiikub that ended up being Spades this month (creative!), Don Harants hosted our Poker players, and the Dinner Group met at Frank Grisanti’s Restaurant. Readers enjoyed discussion of Dan Brown’s Origin at the home of Peggy Edwards. Yvonne Fournier arranged for moviegoers to see The Greatest Showman – hoping for better weather for the next outing! Both Ladies’ Night and the February Wine Party were held at the home of LaMora Simpson and Charles Humphreys…LaMora is spoiling us and we love it!
We are beginning to see signs of spring and look forward to the gift of sunshine filled days. Now is a good time to reach out to our newest members and encourage them to join one or more of our small groups as well as participate in Carnival activities to support children’s charities. We want to know them better and we want them to appreciate how much Ennead has to offer.
BY-LAWS CHANGE IS EFFECTIVE as of March 1, 2018
The net effect of this change will be that all members, including returning members, will go through the same vetting process.

This is a ‘working’ meeting. Don’t bring food or drink. Come ready to listen to the story and decide how you would like to participate!

Whether you think you are talented or not, we want you, your enthusiasm, your dedication and your sense of humor to help Ennead present the Best BTTS Skit in 2018 and have a great time working and playing together to do it!
At the meeting we’ll …
- Brief you on the details
- Run through an outline of the skit
- Talk about costumes and choreography
- Sign up for your part(s)
ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Everyone can contribute and enjoy the teamwork and satisfaction of contributing to this Ennead Event. Please notify Connie by 3/8 if you:

ENNEAD provides beads to throw but if you wish to purchase some, please let Connie Spencer know & we can help arrange that.
We would also like to know if you are planning on coming down to ride, party, or help so we can have some idea of participation & plan accordingly.
IN SEARCH OF THE ENNEAD BANNER
